Stickshift Annie

Stickshift Annie with Kimball and the Fugitives

3:30pm-5:30pm

Originally from the Midwest, Annie Eastwood settled in the Seattle area a little over 15 years ago and has played in every blues club in the city. Finally, she lays down her smooth brand of bar room blues on an impressive debut. Out of Her Mind.

Stickshift Annie and the Overdrive play a sleazy strain of blues which is both smart and sexy. Annie's sassy vocals are complimented by her magnificent band, including James Middlefield on harmonica, and Ian Waldie on slide guitar. The disc was nominated by the Washington Blues Society for best Recording and Eastwood for Best Female Vocalist in 2001. lWhile the awards went to other artists, it reestablished the group as a powerhouse in the Northwest.

Dusty 45

The Dusty 45's

6pm-8:30pm

http://www.dusty45s.com/

The Dusty 45s’ first studio album in five ears, Fortunate Man contains a collection of 10 original Dusty 45s songs, including Walking in the Rain, River From My Eyes, and the title track, all of which have quickly become crowd favorites at recent live shows.

Infused by a passion for American roots music in all its varied forms, Fortunate Manblurs the line between genres to create a style that is, in it’s final distillation, entirely fresh and new. Singer/Songwriter, Billy Joe Huels, paints his illustrative and personal stories with a signature ’65 Gibson steel string guitar, and combines elements ranging from honky-tonk and swing to pure rock. Enter in Seattle’s finest with top-notch vocal harmonies, twangy guitars, upright bass and drums, top it off with Huels’ fiery trumpet and The Dusty 45s’ unique sound is complete

El Loco
